Parents and Players,

Further to the announcement on June 13th by The Federal Govt, State Govt, and BV (Basketball Victoria) in respect to the allowing of players to commence training indoors for the resumption of basketball, the following information is enclosed for you.

There is a possibility that games will commence in the middle of July- THIS IS YET TO BE CONFIRMED.

At this stage and subject to schools’ approval training will commence after the upcoming school holidays.

There is provision at this stage to hold some sessions on Saturday at Mernda P.S. outdoor court.

This has been offered to coaches in the past in the past and a couple of teams have taken up the offer.

I will need to know if you will not be continuing to play- I WILL NEED THIS INFORMATION BY JUNE 21st

Both DV and Mill Park have not given us any indication of when they will be resuming games but as stated it should be the middle of July.

I expect this information sometime this week.

What format these games – be it be the continuation of the season that commenced in February or a new season that could start in July -will be decided shortly and I will inform you as soon as I know.

With trainings and games there will be strict procedures and conditions that we will have to abide by.

We are trying to clarify from BV what these conditions and procedures will be.
